Clever Wife..

There was a man who had worked hard all of his life and saved all of his money.   He was a real miser when it came to money.   When he became ill and knew he was dying he said to his wife, "Now listen, when I die,   I want you to take all my money and place it in the casket with me. I want  to take my money to the afterlife."   His wife gave  her promise that when he died,   She would put all his money into the casket with him.   A week later he died. On the day of her husband's funeral his wife was sitting next  to her best friend and just before the undertaker closed the casket she called out "Please, Wait a minute!" walked over to the casket and placed a small  brass finished box inside.    The undertaker then locked the casket down and rolled it away.   The next day her friend came around to visit and said,   "I hope you weren't crazy enough to put all of his money in the casket."   "I promised." The widow  replied   "I'm a good Christian and I couldn't lie I promised him I would  put  all of his money into the  casket with him, so I did."   "You mean to tell me you put every cent of his money in that casket with him?"   "Yes" said his wife . "I got it all together, put it into my account and I wrote him a cheque, I thought if he can cash it he can spend it"

Father videotapes his children coming down stairs on Christmas morning... over 25 years

Every family has its quirky traditions and although they may not be appreciated at the time, years later they can reveal something magical. 

Writer Nick Confalone edited the home video footage his father filmed every December 25 to chart his sister and himself growing up over a quarter of a century.

The footage, which was posted on YouTube, shows the changes in their family's lives over 25 years.

Early tradition: From 1985, the father filmed his young family on Christmas morning heading down to the tree

From the very beginning: The YouTube video shows the brother and sister being filmed coming down the stairs at the family home on Christmas morning

The film begins in 1985 and shows the two children clambering down the staircase in their onesie pyjamas as toddlers to see what Santa Claus has left under the Christmas tree.

In the following years, their styles change - as does their willingness to be featured on the home video.

By 1991, a dog has entered the scene and in one of the last scenes, the girl's boyfriend is brought into the family tradition. The tape is accompanied by the song Christmas Time by Vince Guaraldi.

Mr Confalone, who described himself on Twitter as a writer for the Disney Channel cartoon Fish Hooks, explained: 'Every year, for pretty much my entire life, Dad has videotaped me and my sister coming down the stairs on Christmas morning. 

'As teenagers, we begrudgingly accepted our fathers tradition, but as we grew up we realized we were part of something special – dare I say, ''something magical.'''
