Delivery boy stabs two to death

KUALA LUMPUR: A delivery boy ran amok here Thursday, stabbing two people to death and injuring two others.
The incident occurred around 11.20am when the 26-year-old suspect was supposed to deliver cigarettes to a sundry shop at the Gombak Putra LRT Terminal.
City deputy CID chief Asst Comm Khairi Ahrasa said the suspect stabbed the 60-year-old sundry shop owner and her 40-year-old helper, also a woman.
"He then sped off in a white Daihatsu van towards Taman Melati.
"The suspect collided with another van driven by an elderly man in front of the Taman Melati Putra LRT station," he told reporters at the scene.
He said when the driver got out to inspect his vehicle, the suspect stabbed him thrice, killing him on the spot.
"The suspect then got back into his van and drove another kilometre before ramming a Toyota Prius being driven by a teenager.
"He stabbed the teenager once and when the teenager tried to run off, chased him down and stabbed him two more times," he said, adding that the teenager, believed to be a college student, also died on the spot.
He said a crowd of onlookers then overpowered the suspect and detained him until police arrived.
It was learnt that the suspect was heard chanting when he was being subdued.
